About Me

Welcome and Aloha!
My name is Katelyn Cripps. I am originally from Hale’iwa, Hawai’i but moved to the prettiest mid-western state, Michigan, several years ago. Michigan is where my parents both grew up, so it wasn't a huge difference in lifestyle. I am currently a senior at Grand Valley State University. I am a double major: Advertising and Public Relations; Writing with two minors in French and Studio Art. As a kid, I excelled in mathematics and science but my passions laid within the creative realm. I decided to forgo my Pre-Med major sophomore year, and switch into a career path that allows me to help others while designing creative things for the community.
One of my favorite things to do in between studying and classes, is traveling. I have been to over 12 different countries, and over 155 cities. My favorite of which have been Iceland, France, and Romania. I love learning new languages, and embracing different cultures from around the world. My family is a melting pot of sorts. I learned to speak fluently Romanian, and French due to my mother. And I am very capable of understanding Spanish because of my father. I plan on having many more adventures, and hopefully learning new languages in the process.
This blog was created for the use of two of my classes at GVSU (CAP 105 and ART 335). In this blog you will find projects, and summaries that reflect course work in both classes. Each of the pages listed below the class are used for that class' purpose.
